Suga!

The lovely Elizabeth of experiencing pathways gave me this:

There are the rules. I have to list 10 interesting facts about myself then I’ll pass this award on to the 10 wonderful bloggers. So enjoy.....

1. I am doing the Whittle My Middle Challenge because I have done a plank maybe once in my whole life. I think having a strong core is important and a blog challenge is the perfect motivator! :)
2. At first I thought Twitter was dumb. Now. I. Am. Addicted.
3. Just found Goji Berry Pomegranate Green Tea and I am so loving it! It doesn't have the icky bitter taste regular green teas do.
4. My husband bought me a pink beach cruiser. First bike ride out how many times did I fall? Two! (I am very sensitive to gravity...hahaha!!)
5. I can totally relate to this site because I am terrible at parking!
6. The power went out a few days ago for 2.5 hours. It was TERRIBLE!
7. I decided that I am a borderline hoarder with clothes. I have emotional attachment to clothes. I would look at a shirt and think, "oh this happened when I was wearing this." So I decided to stop being lame and have bags to donate first thing tomorrow. I kept telling myself remember, you can't take it when you go...and then this song was stuck in my head. Not related but still stuck in my head!
8. I want bamboo flooring in our house
9. I just downloaded the Pandora App on my BlackBerry now I can rock it!!
10. I blast Miley, 'N Sync, Britney, etc. when my husband isn't home...basically I act like I am 13. On Twitter I was notified of this little gem by PIPM...sooo funny!!

Good Advice

Written By Regina Brett, 90 years old, of The Plain Dealer, Cleveland , Ohio

"To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most-requested column I've ever written. My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more:"

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.

3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.

5. Pay off your credit cards every month.

6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.

8. It's OK to get angry with God.. He can take it.

9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.

10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.

11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.

12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.

13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer

21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.

22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.

23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.

24. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.2

5. Frame every so-called disaster with these words ''In five years, will this matter?".

26. Always choose life.

27. Forgive everyone everything.

28. What other people think of you is none of your business.

29.. Time heals almost everything.. Give time, time.

30. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

31. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

32. Believe in miracles.

33.. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do.

I found a cure for cancer! YOU.

Imagine if you could save someone's life. However, there is a catch, your hip will be sore for a few days. This person could be a child, teenager, or adult and they have cancer. Chemotherapy isn't working. They need a bone marrow transplant. No one in their family is a match. They are told by their doctors a bone marrow transplant can save their life. Unfortunately there just aren't any matches right now and the doctors don't think a match will be found in time.

What if you are the match they need?

Oh, wait. That's right you are afraid it is going to hurt. The two days or so of you being uncomfortable are holding you back from this? Really? Think about the person with leukemia. Think about their loved ones. No one steps up to the plate and now this person dies. How much pain did this person experience in the last days of their life? How much pain is their family going through?

But, what if someone (like you!) took the few minutes to go to bethematch.org and answered a few questions. Then a few days later you made sure to send back the package that was sent to you. They just need a few swabs of the inside of your cheek. No shots, pokes, prodes, etc.

I spoke to a few people that I know that have been on the list for 15+ years. No one has ever been called because the criteria to be a donor match is so specific. However, if someone needs them they are ready.

Please search your heart and imagine if your sibling, parent, spouse, best friend, etc. needed a random stranger to save their life. Please be that random stranger. Lives are counting on it.

~

My husband's birthday, my birthday, and our anniversary are always on the same weekday. For example, if my birthday is on a Friday so is our anniversary and my husband's birthday. It has always been this way.

My husband's name is William Thomas. My dad's name is Thomas William.

What odd things have you noticed in your life?

Please help me understand

My dad and I saw the limited showing of Toy Story 1 + 2 in 3D on Saturday. While we were there we happened to notice a lot of this:

Can someone please explain to me why a parent would ever put their child on a leash?!
